Virtual Museum - ATC Observer Magazines

The ATC (Air Training Corps) Cadets in New Zealand produced a wartime magazine called The Observer.  It appears that the magazine was initially produced by the Christchurch Wing in 1942 and then adopted nationally in the July 1944 issue, when "Volume 1, No. 1" was produced.  Given that it was a continuation of the Christchurch Wing's magazine, the next volume reverted back to the original sequence and appeared as "Vol 3 - No. 2".

Content of the magazine varied from editorial, history of the RNZAF, accounts of tramping trips and camps, letters to the editor, aircraft identification, details of wartime pilots and awards, engines, guns, soaring, meteorology, aircraft development, etc.
